Arnold Schwarzenegger was born in Thal, a small town of Austria in the city of Graz on 30 July, 1947. Arnold Schwarzenegger grew up in a poor family. His father Gustav was the chief of police hence he lived in a modest home over the local police station. It was life rigid and controlled.

Arnold entered the Austrian army at the age of 18 (in 1965). During his army time, he was the participant of the junior European bodybuilding contest. He became victorious and stayed in prison one week as he missed military service.

The result was that after his service in military, Arnold resumed training. At age 20, he became the youngest Mr. Universe in the year 1967.
In 1968, Arnold Schwarzenegger relocated to Munich in order to train more and earned money at a gym. In the same year, he translocated to America, where he got to compete.
Arnold Schwarzenegger bagged seven titles of Mr. Olympia; 1970 to 1975 and 1980. He was given the nickname of the Austrian Oak.

Arnold’s big dream was to become an actor. His first movie role was in Hercules in New York (1970), but his voice was later dubbed by another actor.
In 1977, he appeared in a documentary called Pumping Iron, which made him well-known.
